EMBOLDEN hosts University of Birmingham Research Partners
Through BIRMAC, the partnership between McMaster University’s Institute for Research on Aging (MIRA) and the University of Birmingham, we had the privilege of hosting our research partners from the United Kingdom.
On October 17th the BIRMAC seminar A Tale of Two Cities, Parallel Research to Promote Age-Friendly Communities was held which provided the opportunity for cross-jurisdictional comparison of projects and for the sharing of lessons learned. Co-lead Dr. Rebecca Ganann presented on the integration of age-friendly approaches in co-designing the EMBOLDEN program. With the permission of our participants, our Birmingham guests also had the opportunity to visit the EMBOLDEN program to see it in action!
